From Prototype to Breakthrough Innovation
Cap Vista seeks innovative solutions to address challenges published on this website. We focus on accelerating the adoption of commercial technologies to solve real challenges at speed.
WHAT WE DO?
We publish challenge statements and invite global startups to submit proposals which could enhance Singapore's national security.
After evaluating the submitted proposals, we will invite suitable startups to pitch their proposals and to address any queries from our evaluation panel which will comprise all relevant parties. We will then award the successful startups to validate their proposals. This could be in the form of proofs-of-concept, experiments, demonstrations, or any other reasonable ideas as proposed by the startups.
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU AS A STARTUP?
We aim to award suitable startups within 60 days after the submission deadline. Awarded startups will gain the opportunity to work directly with our end users to showcase and validate your solutions for national security applications. If your solution demonstrates success and good potential, we aim to scale your solutions quickly.

1. How might we enable robots to navigate autonomously and/or do mapping in Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)-denied environment for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) missions?
2. We are looking for novel payloads that could be integrated onto small platforms like commercial drones to improve work efficiencies.
3. How might we reliably and continuously monitor underwater infrastructure such as power cables and gas pipelines to detect issues early?
4. How might we improve ship hull maintenance for operations in tropical waters?
5. How do we quickly and effectively detect fake videos?
6. How do we generate reference data to assess and compare deepfake detection tools?
7. How might we harness gamification and/or cognitive load analysis tools to enhance training?

ANNOUNCEMENT OF FINALISTS
Friday, 19 April, 2024 (GMT+8)
Submitted proposals will be evaluated based on innovativeness and relevance of the solution, feasibility and readiness for implementation. We will announce and inform shortlisted startups to present their solutions over a pitching session.

PITCHING SESSION & AWARD
Tuesday, 7 May, 2024 (Hybrid)
Shortlisted startups will pitch their solutions to our evaluation panel, which includes our challenge statement owners and technical experts. For non-Singapore-based startups, the pitching can be be conducted virtually. Awarded startups will be announced during the pitching day.
