We are seeking novel solutions for the early detection of Lithium-ion battery anomalies and robust containment of thermal runaway in maritime environments to eliminate the risk of catastrophic fires at sea.
Large-scale Li-ion batteries are a flammable hazard and present a critical risk during transportation: a single thermal runaway event can trigger an unstoppable chain reaction of fire and toxic gas, overwhelming and threatening personnel on the entire vessel. We are seeking innovative solutions for the early detection of battery anomalies to provide real-time, actionable alerts. The goal is to move from reactive firefighting to proactive prevention.
