The Singapore's Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and the United States Department of Defense (DoD) have launched this joint defence innovation challenge to seek novel maritime security and Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS). This inaugural challenge aims to enhance maritime security and resilience against electronic threats. Companies and startups are invited to propose innovative solutions to gain access to opportunities for project trials and collaboration with the defence establishments from either country. This bilateral challenge will run as two synchronised calls by the Cap Vista Accelerator in Singapore and the Defense Innovation Unit in the U.S and is a key collaboration initiative under the US-SG Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Defence Innovation cooperation.

Submitted proposals will be evaluated based on innovativeness and relevance of the solution, feasibility and readiness for implementation. Shortlisted companies and startups will be invited to present their solutions over a pitching session.
Shortlisted companies and startups will pitch their solutions to our evaluation panel, which includes our challenge statement owners and technical experts. For non-Singapore-based companies and startups, the pitching can be conducted virtually.
